Schiesser Heritage

Naturally close

Our heritage at SCHIESSER

In our branding campaign, we celebrate nature, your individuality, and the human body. Whatever you do, we’ve got you covered. Naturally close.

We find ourselves in nature. Its immediacy creates clarity and gives us strength. We experience ourselves as individuals and in connection with our environment. At SCHIESSER, we provide the canvas and projection screen for individual life with white basics: always up close and personal wherever your steps may lead you.

Heritage is timeless

We are therefore drawing attention to our Heritage 2023: the dancers of the Biarritz ballet, under the direction of Thierry Malandain, celebrate our history – full of closeness to nature and individuality. The iconic rib is omnipresent its pure white without outshining its individual wearer.

Drawing from the almost endless repertoire of French ballet, the choreography pays homage to the human body in all its power, sensuality, and vulnerability as well as to its connection with the earth. With its synchronous movements, the campaign reminds us that us humans cannot live in dissonance with nature. Like the dancers with each other through a choreography, humans are also connected to the planet. With this artistic staging, we at SCHIESSER are now setting an even clearer sign for environmentally friendly and timeless design.

Ballett Biarritz

About the Biarritz ballet

In 1998, Thierry Malandain founded the first neoclassical centre for modern choreography in the Basque coastal town of Biarritz. Today, the Malandain Biarritz ballet is one of the most watched companies in Europe with 100,000 spectators per season and almost 100 performances per year – one third of them abroad. In Germany, the Malandain Biarritz ballet has been performing one show a year for about 20 years. The ensemble was recently honoured for its production of Ludwig van Beethoven’s “Pastorale“, commissioned by the city of Bonn in honour of his 250th birthday.
